This would be a very child-friendly mountain to climb as the distance is short, the height gained not much and the paths are clear and easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/uponnothing\/51128885866\/in\/dateposted-public\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51128885866_bb31ceeef5.jpg\" alt=\"Fan Fawr\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption>Fan Fawr is across the road from Storey Arms, so the car park for this walk is below in this shot. | Tokina AT-X 50-250 @ 50mm, f11.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I took the reddish path up that takes you directly towards Corn Du, so the views of that summit and Pen y Fan are constant and clear.  When you reach the crest of the ridgeway you will find a rough track heading left to the summit of Y Gyrn.
