It is part of the Black Mountains range and is crossed by the Offa&#8217;s Dyke footpath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has two high points, with the highest 616m point not marked at all, but the lower point &#8211; called North Daren (but is actually South) &#8211; at 610m is marked by a trig point. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/uponnothing\/51427558001\/in\/dateposted-public\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51427558001_c129d7f8a7.jpg\" alt=\"Pen-y-Garn Fawr\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption>The highest point at 616m according to GPS. | Tamron Adaptall SP 24-48 @ 24mm, f11.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The hill is a gentle one, hence why it is not classed as a mountain even though it has the height, it does not have the prominence.
