I approached Waun Lefrith from Garreg Las (Twyn Swnd) and I missed what seems to me the better approach from Llyn y Fan Fach reservoir and up the curved ridgeway. This access from below makes the summit popular, and that this summit forms a nice loop taking in Picws Du and Fan Brycheiniog makes this whole range much busier than I expected.

The dramatic curve of the mountain is filled below by Llyn y Fan Fach reservoir that adds a bit of change to the scenery and is well photographed from above and below.
